Crowdbet is a social betting platform that creates an immersive experience around any live event. The platform merges real-time conversation and social interactions with dynamic in-play betting. Communities are created around every event and users can join the public conversation or create a private party so a smaller group can discuss the action.
The Client had a vision in his head of creating a new immersive betting app that transformed the conventional way of betting into a social platform in which users could connect, chat and share bets together, all whilst watching live stats and clips within the app. It needed to be unique and innovative, steering away from the typical over-coloured, information-packed and clustered designs into a minimalistic, modern and sleek design.

Hours upon hours of extensive research into the betting world were conducted. I looked closely into the market, identifying all of the competitors and breaking down their designs from both a UI and UX point of view.
Firstly, I started by identifying all the flows within the app. Examples of these are the sign in/sign up process, making a bet and creating a chat etc. From here I started mapping out what the flows might look like, what they needed to include and how the user would navigate through them.
Digital wireframing enabled me to refine my sketches and focus on the specific details of the layout and UX design before incorporating colours and logos, among other elements.

I injected the Crowdbet branding and Style guide into my Mid Fidelity designs and through a series of iterations and adjustments based on client feedback, We reached the final designs for MVP.
Problem: This Project presented many hurdles that I had to overcome. As it was a betting company, I had to work in compliance with copyright laws and had to design around what could/could not be shown on the app.
Solution: The main way I resolved this was by creating my own assets that didn’t infringe any laws.
Problem: Another thing to mention upon reflection was that there were a lot of last minute pivotal decisions made by the client which made it difficult when designing due to a lot of the designs needing to be updated to fit the new app position.
Solution: I ensured that all of my designs were created properly, making use of all of the component variables to ensure that my components and layouts were easily customisable at any given time saving time and energy and allowing me to stay on track with deadlines.
