Panco's Pizza, a local pizza takeaway, faced the challenge of modernising its outdated ordering system to meet customer expectations.
The goal was to develop a seamless, user-friendly interface for an app, allowing customers to choose their own pizzas with various customisation options. This modernization aimed to enhance customer satisfaction, improve sales, and maintain competitiveness by offering a consistent, intuitive, and engaging digital experience across platforms.
• Ordering system
• Registration and Creating a Profile
• Simplified onboarding process
• Location and order tracking
• Customisable user profiles
• Search and Filters
• Secure Payment Options
I conducted extensive research into the online food delivery market, with a particular focus on pizzas. I spent hours analysing the market, closely examining competitors and breaking down their designs from both a UI and UX perspective.
Firstly, I started by identifying all the flows within the app. Examples of these are the sign in/sign up process, product search, creating an order and checkout. From here I started sketching out what the flows might look like, what they needed to include and how the user would navigate through them.
Digital wireframing enabled me to refine my sketches and focus on the specific details of the layout and UX design before incorporating colours and logos, among other elements.
I then increased the level of detail, refining my initial wireframes. I completed this in greyscale so that my focus was on layout, structure and component form.
Further detail was added to the designs, with a continued focus on structure, layout, and user experience. Based on feedback from users and the client, I made the following changes to my designs.
I then added in the colour palette, icons, information and imagery to make up the high fidelity designs which then were sent for more user testing. Below you can find the final outcome after all revisions had been made.
